About Pathway Forum
Pathway Forum is an independent, free resource for BYU-Pathway students and other online learners looking for scholarships, affordable degrees, and study abroad opportunities.
Who runs it
Pathway Forum is created by Rise & Reasons on YouTube.
Independent and free
We're not affiliated with BYU-Pathway Worldwide, Brigham Young University, BYU-Idaho, or any scholarship provider. Everything on this site is free to use. We will never ask you for payment, bank details, or passwords.
How we check scholarship information
- Official sources only. Every scholarship in our finder links to the provider's official website. Deadlines and eligibility come from those official pages, not from other listing sites.
- Dated checks. Each listing shows the date we last checked it against the official source.
- No guessed dates. Many awards don't have one deadline; it varies by country, course, or programme. When that's the case, we say so instead of inventing a date.
- Always confirm before applying. Providers can change dates and rules at any time. Treat our listings as a starting point, and rely on the official site.
How to spot a scholarship scam
Never pay to apply for a scholarship. Real scholarships don't charge application, processing, or "release" fees.
Warning signs include:
- Upfront fees of any kind, whatever they're called: processing fee, guarantee fee, redemption fee, or insurance fee.
- Guarantees. No one can promise you'll win a scholarship before you apply.
- Requests for financial details such as your bank account or card number "to deposit your award."
- Awards you never applied for. Be suspicious of messages saying you've won something out of the blue.
- Pressure to act immediately or keep things secret.
If you're unsure, find the scholarship's official website yourself, instead of using links in a message you received, and contact the provider directly.
